Biography

Alex is a kinesiology professional with a master’s degree in Physical Education, specializing in Human Movement Sciences, and a Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences. From 2003 to 2004, he worked as a visiting researcher in the Post-Graduate Program in Human Movement Sciences at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), supervising master’s students in the Amazon region of Brazil. He supports the role of Associate Editor for the Brazilian Journal of Nutrition (e-ISSN 1678-9865), specifically in the area of Nutritional Assessment. His current research interests include compositional data analysis, sedentary behavior, physical activity, and sleep (24-hour activity) and their intersections with health outcomes.
